Some Steelers-related questions to ponder ahead of the weekend…

Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night open thread:

  1. The Steelers currently have three names still eligible for the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class: Hines Ward, James Harrison, and Gary Anderson (four if you count Art Rooney Jr. in the contributor category). How would you rank those names in order of who deserves to make the Hall of Fame the most? And do you think any of them actually make it?
  2. Rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson hit another setback this week at practice with a “DNP” on Thursday. Do you think he sees the field again this season, and if so, in what capacity?
  3. Aaron Rodgers made the news on Thursday when he decided to drop “denouement” and “sanguine” in the same sentence during a press conference. Assuming he writes a bit more than his signature on the intercepted footballs sent to him by Beanie Bishop Jr., what do you think his message will read?
  4. The Steelers have scored over 30 points in back-to-back games leading up to Week 8. It’s great news, sure, but the consensus seems to be that it won’t continue to be a weekly occurrence for the team. How many points does Pittsburgh drop on the Giants on Monday, and how many do you think they’ll average a game for the rest of the season?
  5. Monday will also mark the second straight game where the Steelers are wearing alternate uniforms. Week 7 was the block number throwbacks. Week 8 will be the color rush. Do you wish the Steelers would wear those uniforms more often, or are they better only appearing once or twice a season?
  6. I’m looking to expand my horizons in terms of weeknight meals. With a pound of ground beef and a reasonable budget, what are you making?

So, settle down for the weekend, share your food and drink of choice, and let’s talk some football.
