It’s a long season, and Westbrook is beloved by many who are still with the Clippers. He will see how well he connected with Clippers fans in five weeks when the Nuggets visit Intuit Dome. The Clippers were there for Westbrook at what might have been the nadir of his career. But the Clippers are committed to the pieces they have now without Westbrook, and Saturday’s result makes it easier not to look back again. “We’re both inner-city L.A. kids,” Harden said of Westbrook after Saturday’s game. “When it’s all said and done, we’ll be in the Hall of Fame. That’s a story right there. I’m happy he’s happy and he’s playing well. He’s doing his thing here in Denver. So it’s always happiness when we see each other.”
