The Steelers have multiple rookie studs on the offensive line
The Pittsburgh Steelers completely revamped their offensive line in the NFL Draft last April. They drafted Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier, and Mason McCormick in hopes that all three could be valuable pieces going forward. And while Fautanu missed the entire year due to injury, Frazier and McCormick put together tremendous rookie campaigns. On the other side of the ball, rookie linebacker Payton Wilson also had a very nice rookie season – so much so that they have been named to the All-Rookie team by The 33rd Team.
Frazier and McCormick quickly emerged as two of the best rising talents in the NFL on the offensive line, specifically Frazier who was a Day One starter and has been a terrific balance of a pass protector and athletic run blocker. McCormick has been tremendous in filling in for James Daniels, cementing the starting right guard job as his own. For Wilson, he has largely been the Steelers No. 2 off-ball linebacker alongside Patrick Queen and is fourth on the team in tackles, showing a great nose for the football.
The Steelers hope their rookies can help lead them to their first playoff win since the 2016 season when they travel to Baltimore Saturday night to play the Ravens in the Wild Card round.
