Scotty is Miller is back! And the Steelers activate a former All-Pro ahead of the playoffs…
The Steelers have made multiple roster moves with hours to go until the team’s Wild Card round matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, per a team announcement.
As expected, Pittsburgh has activated offensive tackle Calvin Anderson from injured reserve to the 53-man roster. Wide receiver Scotty Miller, who was released on Thursday to make room for Anderson, was signed to the practice squad.
To make room for Miller, Pittsburgh released safety Ayo Oyelola from the practice squad.
The Steelers also announced two practice squad elevations ahead of the playoff game: receiver/returner Jamal Agnew and Miller, who looks set to appear against the Ravens despite no longer being on the 53-man roster.
Agnew was an All-Pro punt returner in 2022. Ahead of his rookie season, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds.
Also worth noting is that Anderson’s activation could mean that Steelers’ starting guard Mason McCormick could miss Saturday’s game with the hand injury he sustained last week against the Bengals. McCormick is currently listed as questionable.
