The Steelers aren’t bringing in Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers will have questions to answer about the quarterback position for the second straight year. And while it looks like Justin Fields is the likely candidate to stay in Pittsburgh and be the starter going into the 2025 season, there will be names thrown out as potential candidates until that becomes official.
One of those names has been Aaron Rodgers. The four-time NFL MVP had a less-than-ideal season with the New York Jets as they fell way short of expectations, finishing the year 5-12. Even so, Rodgers threw 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. We all know the mutual respect and admiration there is between Rodgers and Mike Tomlin, which has led many to make the connection that Rodgers could go to Pittsburgh this offseason. However, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, that won’t be happening.
“I can tell you right now it won’t be Aaron Rodgers,” Dulac said on The Rich Eisen Show. “They have no interest in doing that.”
Rodgers wouldn’t make sense for the Steelers. He doesn’t have much time left, it might only be one year at most, and Pittsburgh will just be right back in the same place this time next year if that is the move.
