The Steelers could be adding Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the legal tampering period without a quarterback on the roster, meaning they could very well lose Justin Fields to the New York Jets should they give him a more attractive offer. With that in mind, a new serious quarterback option has emerged for the Steelers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter reports that the Steelers continue to talk to both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, but that Pittsburgh and four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers are “expected to talk.” Rodgers was informed by the Jets that he wouldn’t be with the team in 2025, thus leading to him needing to find a new team should he want to continue playing.

It’s no secret the respect Rodgers has for Mike Tomlin and vice versa – he goes out of his way to talk about Tomlin whenever he can during his many appearances on The Pat McAfee Show. Should Pittsburgh not be able to get a deal done with Fields, don’t be shocked if Rodgers is the signing.
