The quarterback shed some light on the challenges he’s facing
In mid-April, quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined The Pat McAfee Show for a lengthy interview to discuss his relationship with the Steelers, his desire to play in the NFL this season, and a potential reason for his delayed decision.
“I love Pittsburgh.. it’s a great blue collar tahn & Mike Tomlin is a fantastic coach who knows hot to lead & players love playing for” ~@AaronRodgers12 on the Packers matchup with the Steelers this Sunday#PatMcAfeeShowLIVE pic.twitter.com/mvSbBkpvKV

In the aforementioned interview with McAfee, Rodgers said he “has a couple of people in his inner circle who are really battling some difficult stuff. So, I have a lot of things that are taking my attention and have begun in January away from football.”
Many have speculated what he could be going through, and he recently revealed on “The Joe Rogan Experience” that he has friends who are battling cancer.
“I’ve been in the weeds with these people,” Rodgers stated.
A recent report by an ESPN NFL insider suggested that he anticipates Rodgers signing with the Steelers in “the next week or so.” However, after watching the interview, my best guess is that the decision will be further delayed.

At this point, it seems the Steelers are on Rodgers’s timeline, instead of their own.
What are your thoughts on Rodgers’ comments?
