Per Pelissero, the parameters of Rodgers’ contract have been in place for “months.” He’s informed teams he’ll play for $20 million, but the deal still needs to be finalized.
Rodgers is 41 years old, a 10-time Pro Bowler, a four-time first-team All-Pro, a four-time NFL MVP, and a Super Bowl champion. He’s seventh all-time in the NFL in passing yards, less than 2,000 yards away from marks set by Phillip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger.
Last season with the New York Jets, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
