Heyward moves up 15 spots in this year’s rankings.

The first Pittsburgh Steelers player on the Top 100 countdown has been revealed.

Defensive tackle Cam Heyward once again makes the list following a Pro Bowl season in 2024. The list is voted on by NFL players and their peers.

Heyward ranks No. 83 on the countdown, 15 spots higher than he did a year ago. He ranked No. 98 last season and No. 45 in 2023.

A captain for 10 straight years, Heyward started all 17 games and totaled 71 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and eight sacks. He also registered 20 quarterback hits and 11 passed defensed in a bounce-back season.

Heyward missed six games early in 2023 with a groin injury and responded in a significant way. The 2023 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year earned his fourth First-Team All-Pro selection and was named to his seventh Pro Bowl. It marked Heyward’s first time being First-Team All-Pro since 2021.

Heyward, 36, also finished ninth in Comeback Player of the Year voting and 13th in Defensive Player of the Year. His eight sacks tied the fifth most in a season. Heyward owns 718 career tackles, 130 tackles for loss, 58 passes defended, eight forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries in his 14-year career.

He is second in Steelers history in sacks, 88.5, and possesses the most from a defensive lineman. T.J. Watt is first with 108.

Heyward signed a three-year, $45 million deal prior to the 2024 season that will keep him in the black and gold through 2026.
