Welcome back from your post-turkey comas, everybody!
Hopefully you took Thursday’s odd Giants-Cowboys showdown as an opportunity for rest. It was an odd game, for sure, which holds some entertainment factor all on its own… but still, tonight’s game should be more entertaining, if only for the fact that there are actual playoff implications on the line.
The Miami Dolphins (5-6) will enter Lambeau to face the Green Bay Packers (8-3) this evening, with the Packers sitting as 3.5-point home favorites in the big shebang. The point total sits at 47.5 — a testament to both of these teams’ firepower on offense.
It does seem like the Packers generally have had the edge in terms of consistency this season, but the absence of star CB Jaire Alexander could be a problem, also missing WR Romeo Doubs, who’s played a crucial role in the passing game this season. The other aspect worth considering is whether or not the Dolphins can do enough in the cold — typically a weakness for these South Floridians — with the temperature set at right around 27°F just ahead of kickoff.
