The Steelers may see their former quarterback now that he is back in the AFC North.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to add a starting quarterback at the time of writing. That said, their former first-round pick quarterback is back in the AFC North.

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded Kenny Pickett to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a fifth-round pick and quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Pickett was traded to the Eagles last off-season by the Steelers after Pittsburgh signed Russell Wilson. Shortly after trading Pickett, the Steelers traded for Justin Fields.

Pickett was the Steelers’ first-round pick in 2022 out of the University of Pittsburgh. In his two seasons with the Steelers, Pickett had a touchdown percentage of just 1.8 percent, the lowest in NFL history amongst all quarterbacks with at least 500 attempts. He appeared in five games for the Eagles in the 2024 regular season, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. He took snaps in the waning minutes of the Super Bowl as the Eagles defeated the Chiefs 40-22. Now, he returns to the AFC North with the Browns, and perhaps the Steelers could see him in their two matchups against Cleveland.
