Some questions to consider before the weekend, like who is the Steelers most underrated player thus far?

Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night open thread:

  1. The big news for the Steelers this week is that a change appears to be coming at quarterback. Mike Tomlin has not officially named a starter, but it doesn’t take a mind reader to realize Russell Wilson will be getting the start. What are your feelings about swap?
  2. We’re somehow already a third of the way through the season. The Steelers are 4-2. Who do you think has been the team’s MVP so far? What about the most underrated? What’s your final record prediction? I’ll go TJ Watt, DeShon Elliott and 10-6.
  3. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets have somehow gone through even more drama than the Steelers so far this season. The Jets have been worse for wear for it and have an inverse record to Pittsburgh’s at 2-4. A lot of the drama centers around quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has become one of the more polarizing players in the league. When it comes to Rodgers, I still have a bad taste in my mouth from Super Bowl XLV, but I can admit he was always an entertaining watch in his prime. What are your thoughts on the Jets’ mercurial quarterback?
  4. The next time I do one of these happy hours, we’ll be in November. Before the calendar leaves October behind, I wanted to ask all of you about Halloween. Are you a person who like to dress up in costumes? Does you and your friends/family have any traditions for the holiday? What’s your favorite costume you’ve ever dressed up as? Do any of you have any wild or creative costumes from years past?
  5. I’ve noticed some of you like to share songs of the night/week in the comments. So this week I’ll share one as well. Next month one of my favorite bands will be in my city, and I’m contemplating getting resale tickets as an early birthday present to myself. This is Manchester Orchestra and their song “The Gold.” I don’t think I’ve gone many weeks without listening to it at least once since it came out in the summer of 2017. Do you have a favorite song you always come back to that you’d recommend? I’m not much of a country fan unless it’s from the 70s or 80s, but I’ll take any music recommendations y’all have!

Cheers, and enjoy your weekend. Here we go Steelers, here we go!
