Another week, another George Pickens headline. Pickens has been criticized for his effort on the final play of the game across the league these past few days.
The Steelers enigmatic wideout didn’t appear to play or pay attention to the ball as he was busy tussling with Browns CB Greg Newsome in the back of the endzone.
Today, Mike Tomlin was asked about Pickens’ involvement in the Hail Mary.
“I didn’t see the video. Certainly, he was involved in the Hail Mary as a point man.” He defined the “point-man” as a player who was supposed to high-point the ball.
Tomlin said the league has not reached out regarding the play.
