The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days out from their home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, but there’s still some injury news up in the air ahead of the big showdown.

Here’s a full breakdown of Steelers injury report for Thursday, September 19 ahead of their Week 3 home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Steelers Week 3 injury report: Thursday, September 19

There weren’t any surprises on Thursday’s practice report, with the only two DNPs being Isaac Seumalo and TE MyCole Pruitt, both of whom also missed practice with their respective injuries on Wednesday. Russell Wilson also remained limited, though he says he’s been able to get in more work, Brooke Pryor of ESPN reports, indicating he’s progressing in his recovery. Regardless, the team is preparing for Justin Fields under center again this week.

There was some positive news Thursday, as both DL Larry Ogunjobi and WR Roman Wilson logged full practices after being limited on Wednesday. Ogunjobi was also limited last Wednesday ahead of Week 3, listed with a knee injury, but went on to play 34 total snaps against the Broncos. Wilson, meanwhile, is still looking to make his NFL debut after suffering an ankle injury early in training camp.

Through two weeks, it’s been clear that the team sorely needs depth at wide receiver behind George Pickens, so Wilson’s addition to the lineup could be huge. Pickens has accounted for 27.7% of the team’s targets through the first two weeks of the season. Should Wilson make his NFL debut in Week 3, he’ll be starting his career off facing his college head coach, Jim Harbaugh — a fun storyline to watch.
