Pittsburgh sports teams are down two Mike Sullivans on Monday.
The Steelers appear to have parted ways with quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan, with his bio no longer listed on the team website.
Sullivan’s apparent departure was first discovered on April 28 by Alex Kozora, even though the exact date his bio was removed is unknown.
Sullivan was hired by the Steelers in February 2021 as quarterbacks coach, and he briefly held the role of interim play-caller after then-offensive coordinator Matt Canada was fired in 2023.
Sullivan has worked with quarterbacks including Ben Roethlisberger, Mason Rudolph, Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, Russell Wilson, and Justin Fields during his time in Pittsburgh.
Before the Steelers, Sullivan worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and New York Giants, where he coached Eli Manning.
You can view the entire Steelers coaching staff here. In 2025, the Steelers have added defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander, inside linebackers coach Scott McCurley, and quality control coach Luke Smith. The team also didn’t renew the contract of former secondary coach Grady Brown, now with the New Orleans Saints, entering the 2025 season.
In an interesting coincidence, the Pittsburgh Penguins fired the hockey team’s head coach, also named Mike Sullivan, today, April 28.
