Pittsburgh adds some defensive and special teams depth.

The Steelers continue to add to their defensive depth for the upcoming season. Per a report from NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Pittsburgh is re-signing outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon to a one-year contract.

The terms of the deal have yet to be announced. Moon was an exclusive rights free agent this offseason.

Moon appeared in 13 games for the Steelers last season, starting one. He recorded nine total tackles. He largely played special teams, playing 63% of special teams snaps in 2024. Notably, he received a game day helmet over Preston Smith at outside linebacker in the latter half of the season for the Steelers.

Moon, 26, went undrafted in 2022 out of Florida, starting his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens. The 6’5, 247-pound linebacker recorded an impressive 9.21 RAS score coming out of college.

Moon blocked a punt in Week 6 against the Raiders for Pittsburgh last season.
