Final practice report of the week…

The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days out from their Week 7 primetime showdown against the New York Jets, and the final practice of the week is officially in the books. Here’s a full look at the Steelers’ final injury designations, as well as their participation report for their final practice ahead of Sunday Night Football.

Steelers injury designations for Week 7

Questionable: WR Roman Wilson (hamstring), DT Montravius Adams (knee)

Out: LB Nick Herbig (hamstring), C Zach Frazier (ankle), OT Dylan Cook (foot), RB Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle)

The good news for Week 7 is that the Pittsburgh Steelers will get some help back on defense this week, as edge rusher Alex Highsmith makes his return from a groin injury and safety Damontae Kazee returns from an ankle injury. Highsmith missed each of the past three games while Kazee missed Week 6. The bad news is that defensive tackle Montravius Adams popped up on Friday’s injury report with a knee injury, having been limited in practice and officially listed as questionable for Week 7.

Rookie WR Roman Wilson is also listed as questionable this week with a hamstring injury — an unfortunate turn of events following his NFL debut in Week 6 after working his way back from an ankle injury suffered early in training camp. He played just five offensive snaps against the Raiders and didn’t have a single target, but there’s no doubt that missing out on more reps isn’t great news for a player attempting to acclimate to a full-time role who’s already missed a significant chunk of time.

As expected, OLB Nick Herbig and C Zach Frazier were officially ruled out, as HC Mike Tomlin noted previously. Expect Jeremiah Moon and Ryan McCullum to get snaps in their places, respectively. Cordarrelle Patterson will also miss his third consecutive game with an ankle injury. Jonathan Ward and Aaron Shampklin were both active with Patterson out in Week 6.
