The Steelers are in town for Milroe’s pro day
The Pittsburgh Steelers continue the search for the future of their franchise at quarterback. Even if they land Aaron Rodgers, it’s going to be a one-and-done situation where he is gone after 2025.
With that in mind, the Steelers are making their rounds on the pro day circuit, and their next stop is in Tuscaloosa to see Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. And ahead of the Crimson Tide’s pro day, the Steelers are having one-on-one time with the soon-to-be draft pick.
Per Tom Pelissero, multiple members of the Steelers’ brass treated Milroe to dinner. The group included general manager Omar Khan, head coach Mike Tomlin, and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth.

Tomlin has said multiple times that mobility is something he wants in a quarterback, and Milroe is the most mobile quarterback in this class. While he will be a bit of a project in terms of becoming an NFL-caliber quarterback in the passing game, we’ve seen raw talents become elite quarterbacks when all was said and done. That isn’t to say Milroe will be Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen, but in the right situation, perhaps he can become a quality starter.
