Would the Steelers bring in the four-time MVP?
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback situation is full of uncertainty for the second consecutive season. While it looks all but certain Russell Wilson won’t be returning to the Steelers, it’s also not certain that Justin Fields will be brought back – even if that is what many believe will happen.
Should the Steelers see any other fitting options at quarterback, perhaps they would be enticed to bring him in – enter Aaron Rodgers.
The New York Jets informed the four-time NFL MVP that he will not be on the team in 2025, which prompted many to speculate on where he would play next. And according to SportsBetting.ag, the Steelers are the favorites to land Rodgers. Pittsburgh is listed as even-money 1/1 favorites, followed by the San Francisco 49ers at 3/1 and the New Orleans Saints at 5/1.
Rodgers has been outspoken about his respect and admiration for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, and the respect is certainly reciprocated from Tomlin to Rodgers. Will this be the move at quarterback the Steelers make? I’d guess no, considering this team isn’t a quarterback away from taking a leap to being contenders. That said, anything is possible.
