The Steelers re-sign some depth on the offensive line.
The Steelers have signed exclusive rights free agent center Ryan McCollum to a one-year, the team announced March 10.
The terms of the deal have not been made official yet.
Pittsburgh also made the release of defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi and Jaylen Warren’s second-round tender official in the same press release.
McCollum started his NFL career with the Texans and Lions before signing with the Steelers in 2022. He’s been on and off Pittsburgh’s practice squad since, but was on the active roster in 2024. The 6’5, 300-pound lineman played college football at Texas A&M.
McCollum has appeared in 30 career games, starting three regular season games. He filled in for the Steelers’ Zach Frazier for two games in 2024.
While not a big-name re-signing, McCollum gives the Steelers some familiar depth on the interior of the offensive line ahead of the 2025 regular season. The center is 27 years old.
