Pittsburgh saves $7 million against the cap for the 2025 NFL season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a move to clear some cap space on Monday afternoon, releasing veteran DL Larry Ogunjobi, Nick Farabaugh of PennLive reports — a move that will clear $7 million in cap space for the 2025 season with a pre-June 1 designation, per Spotrac.

Ogunjobi, the Steelers’ 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, has spent each of the past three seasons with the Steelers following a five-year stint with the Cleveland Browns. In that span, he’s amassed 6 sacks, 132 combined tackles, and 15 tackles for a loss. He played 45.24% of the team’s defensive snaps in the 2024 season, missing two games as he dealt with a groin injury.
