Pittsburgh spent the 2025 NFL Draft loading up on defensive line talent, taking two defensive tackles in the form of Oregon’s Derrick Harmon and Iowa’s Yahya Black, and they also selected edge rusher Jack Sawyer.
Adams has appeared in 46 games for the Steelers since 2021 as a depth piece of the defensive line rotation. In that span, he had 72 tackles, six tackles for loss, and one sack.
Considering the draft, along with the horde of defensive line signings they made during the free agency period, Pittsburgh was always going to have to make cuts at that position. Going through the spring and summer, names like Daniel Ekuale, Dean Lowry, Jacob Slade, Esezi Otomewo, and Domenique Davis are all going to be battling for roster spots in a crowded defensive line room in Pittsburgh.
