Should the Steelers move on from Pickens?

George Pickens has become a polarizing figure to Pittsburgh Steelers fans, as well as fans around the NFL. His talents are undeniable, but so is his lack of maturity. Whether it’s clearly being emotionally checked out when he isn’t getting the ball enough or arguing with fans, Pickens has a lot of growing up to do.

Joining Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, Steelers legend and Super Bowl XLIII hero James Harrison says the Steelers should trade Pickens.

“Just from what I’m seeing, what I’m hearing, I don’t know,” Harrison said. “If it was me, I would try and trade him.”

Pickens averaged over 15 yards per catch in 2025 with 900 yards in 14 games. He’s clearly the Steelers’ top skill position player, but the lack of maturity is a real issue. Should they decide to move on, it should be after already acquiring another No. 1 caliber receiver.
