Ja Morant goes down

The Memphis Grizzlies were finally flying high in Game 3 of their first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Then Ja Morant came down with a thud. The All-Star exited Thursday’s game with an apparent injury after landing hard on his hip in the second quarter. He was jumping for a basket on a 2-on-1 breakaway when he got undercut by the Thunder guard Luguentz Dort. The play was reviewed for a flagrant foul, but remained a common foul on Dort.

Feel for Ja Morant. Seemed like Dort just totally slipped there as he was trying to change direction to go from Pippen to Morant. That’s tough. Hope he’s able to get back for Game 4. – 11:27 PM

Reggie Miller: 'LeBron has the greatest career, but Mike is the best player'

Reggie Miller: Man, the tale gets told all the time—who’s the GOAT, who’s the greatest—between him and LeBron. I try to stay away from that. I played against LeBron in his rookie year, which was my last year. So I don’t really have a point of reference. But I will say this: LeBron has the greatest career. I say that all the time. But Michael Jordan is the best basketball player ever. So yeah—LeBron has the greatest career, but Mike is the best player. A lot of old heads want to dog LeBron because they were never this good this late in their careers. He’s in year 22, 40 years old, putting up 25, 8, and 8—first or second team All-NBA. Some of these guys weren’t even that good in their prime. Straight up.
