The Steelers grab a WR with their first pick in the third round.

With the 84th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Michigan wide receiver Roman Wilson.

Wilson is the Steelers’ first pick in the draft at a skill position. The Steelers took Washington offensive tackle Troy Fautanu and West Virginia center Zach Frazier with their first two picks. Now, with their offensive line set heading into the upcoming season, the Steelers turn to improving their wide receiver room.

The 5’11, 185-pound senior recorded 48 receptions for 789 yards and 12 touchdowns in a National Championship-winning season with the Wolverines in 2023. Wilson ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine.

The Steelers showed pre-draft interest in Wilson in the pre-draft process, with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin challenging Wilson and first-round cornerback Quinyon Mitchell to go against each other at the Senior Bowl. The team also reportedly met with Wilson at his pro day. Now, Wilson looks to fill in as the Steelers’ WR2 behind George Pickens in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers still have one pick left in the third round, No. 98, after trading up from the fourth to the third when they dealt quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Steelers OC Arthur Smith: WVU’s Zach Frazier ‘one of the tougher guys I’ve seen on film’

The Steelers’ second-round pick might be the toughest player in the draft.

For many football players, a broken leg can crush draft dreams. In the case of Steelerssecond-round pick Zach Frazier, it cemented his place as one of the draft’s top linemen.

In his final game as a Mountaineer, Frazier suffered a broken leg as West Virginia drove down the field for a winning score in the final minutes of a matchup vs. Baylor. To preserve the clock with no timeouts left, Frazier crawled and jumped on one leg off the field to save time. His actions helped WVU drive down the field and score the game-winning touchdown with seconds left.

Frazier’s toughness and grit certainly made an impression on NFL coaches and scouts, with the Steelers selecting the WVU center with the 51st pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith brought up that exact play in his draft press conference following the Frazier pick. Per ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Smith stated, “That’s who he [Frazier] is and that’s who his resume is. It wasn’t trying to just do some dramatic shot for the camera. I mean, that’s his history and his body of work. One of the tougher guys I’ve seen on film. It reminds me a lot of Ben Jones — a real toughness to ‘em.”

A local player at West Virginia who is already familiar with the Steelers’ legacy at center, Frazier will be the next tough-as-nails offensive lineman to helm the interior of the Steelers’ offense.

Bucks-Pacers Game 3: Ranking the five craziest moments from Indiana's instant classic overtime win

After trading blowouts in Games 1 and 2 of their first-round series, the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers delivered an instant classic on Friday evening. It was a good thing Game 3 started at 5:30 p.m. local time, as it took three hours for the Pacers to secure a thrilling 121-118 win in overtime.

The Pacers jumped out to a 17-point lead at the end of the first quarter, which also included a frightening moment for the Bucks when Damian Lillard limped to the locker room with an apparent knee injury. Neither he nor his team was willing to give up, however, and the Bucks began chipping away at the Pacers’ lead once he returned to the floor in the second quarter.

By the opening minutes of the fourth, Lillard had put the Bucks

CONFIDENCE. Tyrese Haliburton has been pass-first all series. (1st player with a 15-assist triple-double in Pacers postseason history.)

INDIANAPOLIS — Tyrese Haliburton completed a three-point play with 1.6 seconds left, capping his first postseason triple-double in his first home playoff game to give the Indiana Pacers a 121-118 overtime victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.

Indiana leads the best-of-seven series 2-1, with Game 4 on Sunday in Indianapolis. Two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo again sat out for Milwaukee because of a strained left calf.

Haliburton had 18 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds. Myles Turner added 29 points and nine rebounds, both playoff career highs, to help give Indiana its first back-to-back postseason wins since taking three straight in the 2014 Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Pacers also have their first lead in the playoffs since Game 3 of a first-round matchup against Cleveland in 2018. Indiana hasn’t won a series since reaching the 2014 Eastern Conference finals.

PHILADELPHIA — Not only did Joel Embiid set a playoff career high with 50 points to carry the Philadelphia 76ers back into their first-round series against the New York Knicks with a 125-114 victory in Game 3, but he did it while playing through Bell’s palsy, a condition that has affected the left side of his face.

“I think it started a day or two before the Miami game [in the play-in tournament], and I had bad migraines and thought it was nothing,” Embiid said after Thursday’s win. “It’s pretty annoying, you know, with the left side of my face, my mouth and my eye. So yeah, it’s been tough.

One of the most exciting matchups of the NBA playoffs, the Clippers took Game 1 before the Mavericks knotted matters at one apiece with a win in Game 2. The series tipped off in Dallas on Friday night, and Doncic arrived in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, which had a fresh look.

As part of a campaign promoting the soon-to-be released Luka 3 sneaker, Jordan Brand wrapped the guard’s sports car in a pink and purple colorway.

Other details in the wrap include Luka’s No. 77 emblazoned on each side and the Air Jordan logo on the trunk.

The 25-year-old is currently averaging 32.5 points, 7.5 assists and 9.5 rebounds in the series through two games.

Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton banked in a 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds to force overtime and had a chance to force a second overtime, but his 3 bounced off the side of the rim as the buzzer sounded.

Middleton finished with a playoff-career high 42 points and had 10 rebounds and five assists after missing practice Thursday because of a sprained right ankle. Damian Lillard added 28 points and eight assists, most coming after he hurt his left Achilles late in the first quarter.

It was a wild finish in front of a festive crowed decked out in gold T-shirts for Indiana’s first home playoff game since since April 21, 2019 — and with many local favorites in attendance. The crowd included former Indiana Fever newcomer Caitlin Clark, former Colts coach Tony Dungy, former Pacers forward Derrick McKey and current Colts players Anthony Richardson, Kenny Moore II and E.J. The teams then traded baskets, ties and leads over the final 7 1/2 minutes, with Pascal Siakam’s putback with 19.1 seconds left giving the

Omar Khan continues his investment in the trenches.

Just two rounds through his second NFL Draft as the Pittsburgh Steelers general manager, Omar Khan has completed the rebuild of the team’s offensive line with offensive tackle Troy Fautanu and center Zach Frazier.

Per Gerry Dulac, this marks just the second time in Steelers franchise history drafting offensive

That doesn’t mean Pittsburgh isn’t done with their evaluation process, still with a decision to make regarding the configuration of the offensive line.

After drafting Broderick Jones at left tackle in the 2023 NFL Draft, he slid over to the right side of the line in place of Chukwuma Okorafor, who was benched as a starter in Week 9 before eventually being released earlier this offseason. Fautanu, who’s been touted as a potential starter at all five spots on the offensive line, has played the entirety of his career at Washington on the left side of the line, including 29 starts at tackle and two at guard.

Assuming they slide Broderick Jones back to left tackle and trial Fautanu on the right side of the line, here’s what the new and improved Steelers offensive line looks like:

  • Left tackle: Broderick Jones
  • Left guard: Isaac Seumalo
  • Center: Zach Frazier
  • Right guard: James Daniels
  • Right tackle: Troy Fautanu

Prior to the start of 2023 free agency (when Khan also made the addition of Isaac Semualo at left guard), the Steelers were starting Dan Moore Jr., Kevin Dotson, Mason Cole, James Daniels and Chuks Okorafor. Steelers fans can undoubtedly sleep well knowing that the future of the trenches is very bright in Pittsburgh.

The Khan artist works his magic once again.
